Lauren K. Olofsson, MS RD CSP IBCLC graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with her Bachelor of Science Public Health in Nutrition. Upon graduating she worked as a nutritionist for the Special Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) where her initial work with pregnant and post-partum women as well as young children began. With a desire to deepen her nutritional knowledge, Lauren pursued her Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition at New York University and completed her dietetic internship at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. Following graduation, Lauren took a fellowship in pediatric nutrition with NewYork-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital and then joined the clinical team at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Lauren specialized in pediatrics and obstetrics and eventually took on the role of Senior Pediatric Dietitian for NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center until the birth of her son in 2017. She is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and Certified Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition. Lauren currently resides in Raleigh, NC with her husband and three young children.
